Sensing walls through sound

Before the monuments there was a house. In 2013 I moved into a new home and did not yet know its rooms, so I tried to learn them the way you learn a piece of music: by listening. Each track describes one space, its height, its echo, the distance between its walls.

It was a modest beginning: an attempt to describe interior spaces through sound. A year later, invited to compose for Dani Karavan's Negev Brigade Monument, I took the same question outdoors. How do you turn the lines and forms of a place into moving notes?
